Career Story
Caitlin Mulroney, also known as My Tech Wardrobe, is a digital content creator and published author. With experience in post-secondary institutions and the tech industry, she creates learning experiences for women in tech to help them build confidence, find and hone their personal brand, and curate their own professional wardrobes. She is also a full time program and experience designer at Communitech, one of Canada's largest tech innovation hubs.
My career path in short form: -VERY interested in History in high school -went to Wilfrid Laurier University for undergrad in Honours History and minor in English -graduated with a Masters from Laurier in History -instead of pursuing a PhD, decided to try out an industry job -started in Talent Acquisition at a small tech company in Kitchener that made smartglasses -had 5 jobs at that tech company from Talent Acquisition to Community Engagement -during that full time job, founded My Tech Wardrobe in my spare time and became a part time digital content creator for Instagram and Youtube -job impacted by larger acquisition, took My Tech Wardrobe full time (also started a fashion column in The Community Edition, started a podcast, and took on some social media management work) -started as a full time Program Manager at Communitech (tech not for profit) -continues to work full time and pursue digital content creation on the side
