Career Story
One year of driving and delivery work followed by a four year apprenticeship in the electrical and instrument and control field. I worked at electricity generating stations for 36 years while being involved in my union in all roles-specifically health and safety. In the last four years of my full time employment I worked as a full time health and safety staff officer for the union. Since 2008 I instructed health and safety training. I continue to work part time in the field of health and safety since 2016 while maintaining volunteer roles with the Grey Bruce Labour Council, the Canadian Nuclear Workers' Council and the Labour Division of the National Safety Council.
