A New Chapter: The BEP’s New Home and Expanding Impact
February 24, 2026
The BEP is celebrating a transformative month marked by a move to the Cambridge Chamber of Commerce, a legacy gift from LAUNCH Waterloo, and a heartfelt call for volunteers.
We’ve had a busy and exciting month at the BEP. I’m pleased to share that we’ve moved into a new space in the front atrium of the Cambridge Chamber of Commerce. This move marks an important next chapter for our organization, and we’re excited about the opportunities it creates for deeper connection in Cambridge and across the region.
The Cambridge Chamber of Commerce has been a long-time supporter of the BEP. They helped launch the Youth Creativity Fund and have remained an ongoing champion and partner in our work. You can read more about our move and what this partnership means for the BEP in a feature article included in this newsletter.
This month, we were honoured to receive a legacy gift from LAUNCH Waterloo. This contribution reflects a shared commitment to youth learning and innovation, and we are grateful for the trust placed in the BEP to steward these funds forward. You can read more in the blog featured in this newsletter.
Lately, I’ve also been reflecting on the incredible number of volunteers who make our work possible. From sharing career stories to mentoring youth and supporting our programs, these contributions of time and expertise are what power our mission. The volume of volunteer hours behind the BEP is a reminder of just how special this region is.
We have many speaking opportunities coming up and are always looking for community members willing to share their journeys with young people. If you’ve ever considered getting involved, we would love to hear from you.
