Why Vanessa Rampersad volunteers with the Speakers Bureau

April 22, 2021

Physiotherapy is not something most students have considered or even knew existed. Volunteering with the Speakers Bureau is a great way to expand their options and show what the profession is about.

I have been a part of the Speakers Bureau for six years.

I am a registered Physiotherapist and co-owner at BodyTech Physiotherapy. The Business & Education Partnership (BEP) has provided me with a great opportunity to connect with the community outside of the clinic. It has been a rewarding experience to share my professional journey with students in the community.

Physiotherapy is not something that most of the students have considered or even knew existed. It's a great opportunity to expand their options and show them what the profession is all about.

The opportunities that the Speakers Bureau provides are in multiple formats to make it fun and educational for the age group. It’s often not just a presentation.

Additionally, the BEP has helped my business make connections and network with other volunteers and members of the community.

Overall, it is a fantastic experience and a unique opportunity to connect with others!
