Job Description

Career Story

I went to Cameron Heights C.I. and graduated with honours. I then attended the University of Waterloo, however after two years felt this was not for me so I took time off prior to starting my third year. After a few months I applied and got accepted to Conestoga College in the Law & Security Administration Program. I received my diploma and graduated with honours. After graduation, I sought out work in the law enforcement field and started working with a private investigation firm. I first worked in the loss prevention side and then after a few months I became a private investigator. After about 2 years and lots of travelling, I applied to the new prison built in Kitchener. After a lengthy recruitment process, I was hired and invited to Correctional Training Program and was successful and graduated as an Officer CXII / Primary Worker. Upon starting my career, I decided to return to University and completed my program part time and distance Ed while working and advancing my career. I was promoted to a correctional Manager and also took on an assignment as a Staff Training Officer in Kingston teaching new recruits. Then after fours of teaching, returned to Kitchener and got promoted to the Assistant Warden Operations position. Corrections has lots of opportunities to act in positions. Currently I have been acting in the Deputy Warden and Warden positions.
