Career Story

Attended and graduated university at Western University in the Civil Engineering (Structural) program. I decided to add a 5th year to my program (typically a 4 year program) for load management. It made it easier to focus on the work and reduce my stress.

I got a co-op position with IBI Group in Toronto during school, which is where I was first introduced to IBI.

After my co-op position, I was offered a full-time position in the Waterloo office. I had never lived in Waterloo before but decided that I would accept the offer because I liked working for IBI and had a good experience. I also knew that Waterloo is a good city to live in.

I first started as a Project Coordinator and after a couple of years, I started getting more responsibility on our projects. I learned a lot about consulting quickly and became more comfortable with our projects. Now I'm a Project Manager on a number of projects across Waterloo Region.
