As a lawyer, it is my job to assist people and companies with their legal needs. For example, I will help people set up their business, prepare contracts they need to run their business and also help them to sell their business or buy other businesses. I will also help people when they are buying or selling a home or if they are a business owner, buying a building, selling a building or leasing a building. Career Story

After high school I attended Queen's University in Kingston where I studied Psychology. I received my Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree (4 year program) and then after I graduated from Queen's I went to Law School at Western University. I studied Law for 3 years and after I graduated, I took the Bar Administration Course and then Articled with a Law Firm. That process took about 14 months. Once I finished Articling and passed the Bar Exam, I was admitted to the Bar of Ontario as a practicing Lawyer. I started working as a Lawyer in Toronto but eventually moved out to work in Waterloo Region. First, as a Lawyer with Sun Life Financial, then Manulife Financial. Eventually, back in 2015 I joined my current firm, Sutherland Mark Lawyers where I practice Business, Real Estate and Wills & Estates Law.
