Career Story

After high school I was accepted at the Wilfrid Laurier University school of business in the Honours Business Admin program with Co-op. The Co-op piece was the most important part as it enabled me to get real world experience while I was learning the theoretical at WLU.

After 3 Coop terms at BlackBerry and Honda I leveraged my BlackBerry Co-op into full time work at BlackBerry after university.

I worked for 10 months post university at BlackBerry in full time contract position and then backpacked through western Europe for 3 months. Returning to BlackBerry full time and spending nearly 14 more years there. I then was hired by TCL to run their Canadian smartphone business, relaunching the BlackBerry smartphone brand in Canada and opening up a Canadian office at Communitech in their corporate innovation area. After 3 years at TCL I wanted a new challenge in a new industry and started at TransUnion in 2019.
