I work with all the departments at the museum to ensure seamless experiences for visitors. My work involves overseeing operations of the museum, everything from coordinating everyday repairs and maintenance, to handling logistics for large installations and construction, to overseeing filming projects for TV and movies.

Career Story

I went though high school intent on becoming an architect. I took arts, math, and science courses and was laser focused on this goal.

I wasn't accepted into the architecture program I applied to, but was offered Urban Planning instead. I spent a year in the program, but it wasn't a good fit for me. I couldn't see how what I was learning at school would translate into a job.

At the same time, I was working part time at Starbucks, and realized I really enjoyed serving people. I switched gears and decided to pursue a diploma at college for hospitality management.

After graduating from Conestoga College, I worked for 3 years at a catering company, and then 8 years at a museum in the guest services department. I now work in another museum applying my skills in customer service, event management, and operations.
