Skills activities, including competitions, skill fairs, or skill workshops, offer another engaging way for students to learn, reflect, and collaborate in a practical and authentic manner.
Project or Project-Based Learning
Project Based Learning is a teaching method in which students gain knowledge and skills by working for an extended period of time to investigate and respond to an authentic and complex question.
Practicums are designed to provide students with practical work and learning experiences. They emphasize the importance of learning by doing and reflecting.
Job Shadowing & Mentoring
Job shadowing provides the opportunity to observe or “shadow” someone doing their job, often at their place of work, so they’re learning about the workplace as well.
